Twisted Photo

So obviously I didn't take this photo (I'm the guy wearing black, but not the heavy metal dude) but it still is worthy of blog posting. Included in the photo is none other than Twisted Sister front man, Dee Snider. Dee came into our office to film a public service announcement for his charity motorcycle ride; Bikers for Babies.
I got to direct the PSA, so yeah, you can start being jealous any minute now. :)
By the way, if you are still interested, this photo was taken with a Canon Camera. Otherwise, it would have never made it to the blog!

Officially My New Favorite Photo

I took this photo while filming a wedding this summer, and it is by far my favorite wedding photo of all time. Couldn't you see a tagline like "It's never too early to start planning?" This is the unedited version, I'm currently working on a version for my website and cleaning it up a bit.
Canon Rebel XT, with the telephoto lens. I think using the distance lens while filming kids works best, that way they don't really notice you, and are less likely to shy away from the lens.

The Sun Also Rises

Here's another one of my favorite pictures of the sun at sea. I used the telephoto lens on my Canon Rebel XT, but this time played around with some of the manual settings, rather than letting the camera do all the thinking. The shots is a bit tilted, but that's the day when the boat started to his stormy waters.

My Chariot Awaits

Just a picture to show how large (or small, depending on your point of reference) the ship that chartered Vacation 2008. This was another shot taken atop the highest point in Bermuda, courtesy of our segue ride. Canon Digital Rebel XT, telephoto zoom lens.

Another shot from the Vacation 2008 folder, this was taken from atop a hill in Bermuda. Its a shot of the old prision, and the two clock towers (one that's only right twice a day). My Canon Rebel XT got a workout on this trip.

I Think We're Being Attacked, Sir.

Another shot from the fort in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This shot came from one of the lookout posts, which had three extremely narrow slits that allowed soldiers to peer out into the ocean. If you look really close, you can see two people kayaking. They were on our cruise ship, and apparently, went out past the barrier. They missed the boarding call and had to fly into the next port of call to meet up with the rest of their family.

Light at the End of the Tunnel

This was another shot courtesy of Vacation 2008! This photo is from inside a fort in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The tunnel was about a half a mile long, so seeing the light at the end of it was a sight for sore legs. Canon Digital Rebel, with the wide angle lens (needed to get a ton of light in for this one, it was dark, as you could imagine).

Who Says Our Government is Looking Bad Right Now?

Here's a shot of a government building in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The inside of the building is made up of marble, but it was the outside that caught my attention. Add to the nice cloud cover a natural lens flare and the Canon Rebel XT takes another great shot! (Telephoto lens)

You Call this Prision?

Another shot from the vacation archives, apparently this building (in Bermuda) was once a prison. The shot is a bit crooked, or tilted, but that's because I'm shooting pictures while trying to ride a Segue at the same time. This is the standard lens that came with the Canon Rebel XT.

Sunset

I took this shot while vacationing this summer. Spent some time on a cruise ship and was lucky enough to get some cool shots of the sunset, in the middle of the ocean. I can't remember which lens this was, but I'm going to guess it was the telephoto lens, Canon Digital Rebel.

Last Night at the Stadium

This shot is really special to me. I took it at my last trip to Yankee Stadium; the Yanks beat the White Sox and Mike Mussina got his much deserved standing ovation. Canon Digital Rebel XT, wide angle lens.

If This Is What Heaven is, Sign Me Up!

It's been a while since I've posted a photo, way busy with work and work and work and of course, softball. Since my last post, I purchased a wide angle lens for the Canon, and probably have taken over 1000 photos. So, over the next few days, I'll do my best to upload my favorites.
This photo was taken in Pittsburgh, at PNC Ballpark, home of the Pirates. I used my Canon, (never leave home without it) and the standard lens.

Waterfalls

Got to go hiking this weekend in the Hunter Mountain Area. This was one of the coolest shoots I've been on in a while, it got my creative sparks flying again. I took this with the telephoto lens and my trusty Canon Digital Rebel XT made it all the way to the top of the mountain with me.

"Walkin' For the Babies"

So I got to head down to the CBS Early Show this morning (with my trusty Canon Digital Rebel XT in tow) to help photograph March of Dimes volunteer efforts to help spread the word about their biggest fund raising event, March for Babies. I'm a proud supporter of the March of Dimes mission and I'll be walking this weekend.

What a weekend! Bombsquad softball wins two games, and my girlfriend nails down a whole bunch of new photos. If I'm not careful, she might start her own blog with all the photos she's got. This is one of my favorites from the weekend shoot, the fog ads a bit of mystery to the photo, plus its a great action shot!
The Canon 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III EF USM Lens was mounted to my Canon Digital Rebel XT to get this shot. Thanks again to the zoom lens, my girlfriend can snap out of harms way!

"Lady Liberty" in Vegas

This is another shot from my Vegas shoot. I love this photo; its so odd and crowded, but Lady Liberty seems to stand out in all of the commotion. I used the generic lens that came with the Canon Digital Rebel XT.

This is a shot of the famous Vegas Strip. I took it during the wee hours of the morning (3 am) before we left to catch our flight. I had to keep a steady hand, as I used a slooooow shutter speed. I used the generic lens that came with the Canon Digital Rebel XT. Next time I go back to Vegas, I'm bringing the zoom lens!
